Classroom companion facilitator
Classroom Companion volunteers support grieving students in grades K–12 by co-facilitating a 6-week, in-school peer support program alongside Erin’s House staff, supporting conversations and activities that build emotional resilience. Training for this position is provided.
Identity facilitator
Identity volunteers facilitate weekly grief support groups alongside Erin’s House staff at local youth centers, helping kids and teens from underserved Fort Wayne neighborhoods explore their emotions through guided activities in a safe, supportive space. Training for this position is provided.
House parent
Volunteer House Parents are the first to greet families on program nights. House Parents work in teams of 3 to 5 individuals helping with the check-in table, serving pizza to families, and assisting with setting up and tidying up our facility. This position includes an easy training process.
Volunteer babysitter
Looking for some extra babysitting experience? We are looking for volunteers aged 16+ to join our evening program nights Monday through Thursday. From 6:15 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., volunteer babysitters have access to toys, crafts, and books to entertain children under the age of three during their stay.
