Group Facilitator

Volunteer facilitators are the heart of Erin's House. They create a safe, nurturing space where children, teens, and adults can express themselves. Our facilitators listen without judgement and encourage participants to explore their own thoughts and feelings about death and loss. They are understanding of the complexity of grief and variables that affect the grieving process.

Erin's House provides extensive, hands-on training to ensure that each facilitator is equipped with communication skills for supporting participants in their journey through grief, along with education on death and grief.

If the idea of starting this journey with Erin's House aligns with your desire and passion to serve in our ever-changing world, we welcome you to click the "Learn More" button below and complete the online application for Volunteer Group Facilitator.

Houseparent

Volunteer houseparents are the first to greet families on program nights. They enjoy helping our children, teens, and adults feel at home every time they come to Erin's House. Our houseparents greet participants with warm smiles and offer kind words to families.

Houseparents work in teams of 3-5 individuals helping with the check-in table, serving pizza to families, and assisting with setting up and tidying up our facility.

If the idea of starting this journey with Erin's House aligns with your desire and passion to serve others, we welcome you to click the "Learn More" button below and complete the online application for Volunteer Houseparent.

Classroom Companion

For Erin's House to provide our Classroom Companions in-school program, we need compassionate volunteers who are looking to make a difference in the lives of grieving children. We are seeking individuals who are available during day-time school hours and can commit to all 6-8 group meetings to give students consistency.

Classroom Companions receive training to equip them with tools to effectively support grieving children and teens in a school setting, along with education on death and grief.

If you are interested in becoming a Classroom Companion, please click the “Learn More” button below and complete the online application for Volunteer Classroom Companion.
