These basics apply for facilitating in-person and virtually:

  • Two (2) evenings per month from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M.

  • Commit to at least one (1) year of volunteering

  • Co-facilitate small groups of children/teens

  • Lead activities

  • 22-hour training


​These qualifications apply for facilitating in-person and virtually:

  • Must be at least 16 years old and care about children

  • Have access to internet for virtual groups

  • Work as a team member

  • Agree to criminal background check prior to assuming duties

  • Be able to work in a confidential environment

Time Commitment:

  • Evening peer-support groups from 6:00 P.M. (check-in) until 9:00 P.M. (debrief) every other week on designated night

  • Ready to commit to at least one (1) year of volunteering

  • Attend 22-hour training class

  • Attend two (2) continuing education presentations every year

Volunteer Facilitator Training Opportunities


For those interested in becoming a group facilitator for our peer-support groups, the next training sessions will be offered in Fall 2022. Training will prepare and equip you to join our seasoned facilitators in the onsite peer-support groups.
