It has been decided for the remainder of 2020 that all Erin's House programming will be virtual; therefore, our Volunteer Group Facilitator role will be taking on a new look.
Below you will find details and qualifications for this essential position. It is our hope that if you are willing to facilitate virtually that you would also be willing to continue serving your one-year commitment in-person at our facility once our Advisory Task Force Committee deems it safe to resume on-site peer-support groups.
These basics apply for facilitating virtually and in-person once we resume on-site operations.
2 evenings per month (6:00-9:00 P.M.)
Commit to at least 1 year of volunteering
Co-facilitate small groups of children/teens
22-hour training: Virtual training time will count towards this. Once we're back in-person, another round of training will take place to meet this 22-hour requirement

Must be at least 16 years old and care about children
Have access to internet for virtual groups
Work as a team member
Agree to criminal background check prior to assuming duties
Be able to work in a confidential environment
Evening Program Peer-Support Groups: 6:00 P.M. (check-in) – 9:00 P.M. (debrief) every other week on a designated night (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
Ready to commit to at least 1 year of volunteering
Attend 22-hour training class: Virtual training time will count towards this. Once we're back in-person, another round of training will take place to meet this 22-hour requirement
Attend 2 continuing education presentations every year

Saturday, August 29
9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M.
Sunday, August 30
1:30 - 3:00 P.M.
Thursday, September 10
6:30 - 8:00 P.M.
We will prepare some self-guided studies for you to do independently before meeting again virtually on September 10th. The above condensed training will prepare and equip you to join our seasoned facilitators and staff in our virtual peer-support groups that will resume this Fall.
We will offer an additional layer of training at a later date to prepare you for in-person groups at our facility once we receive approval from our Advisory Task Force Committee to meet in-person again. We will announce those dates and times before we enter the in-person stage of programming.
