Basics:​​
These basics apply for facilitating in-person:

Co-facilitate groups of children/teens at a local organization with Erin's House staff for three (3) hours on a designated day.

Organizations Identity Program serves: Euell A. Wilson Center, Jennings Center, Renaissance Pointe YMCA, Weisser Park Youth Center, and more​

Commit to at least one (1) year of volunteering

Lead activities from crafts and games to journaling and conversation
-
9-hour training provided before starting and 3 hours done independently (12 hours total)
-
Once training is complete, facilitators are able to volunteer on-site at Erin's House programs, camps, and other fun opportunities!​

Qualifications:
​These qualifications apply for facilitating in-person:

Must be at least 16 years old
-
Afternoon and/or evening availability during the week
-
Must be team oriented and passionate about children's grief
-
Be able to demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong emotional intelligence
-
Be willing to travel to local organizations
-
Agree to criminal background check prior to assuming duties
-
Be able to work in a confidential environment
Time Commitment:​​

12-hours of training
-
Three (3) hours on a designated day co-facilitating with Erin's House staff. Sessions lengths vary and are between 6 to 10 weeks.​

Example: Facilitating every other Monday for 8 weeks, 3:30 P.M. - 6:30 P.M.
