Basics:​
 

  • Commit to at least one (1) school year of volunteering (August-May)
     

  • Co-facilitate small groups of children/teens in a school setting
     

  • Lead activities
     

  • Includes 4-6 hours of training

     

Qualifications:

​​

  • Must be at least 18 years old and care about children
     

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to commute to schools
     

  • Be able to work as a team member
     

  • Agree to criminal background check prior to assuming duties
     

  • Be trustworthy working in a confidential environment

Time Commitment:

​​

​In-school peer-support groups vary in scheduling. Classroom Companions must have daytime availability to facilitate during or immediately following the school day.​
 

  • Ready to commit to at least one (1) school year of volunteering (May-August)
     

  • Attend 4-6 hours of training with Erin's House School Partnership Manager and Volunteer Director
     

  • Attend check-in meetings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with Erin's House School Partnership Manager
