School's Out! — Navigating Summer Break with Grieving Kids
Let’s be honest, this school year has been wild. From online learning to hybrid schedules, social distancing to mask wearing,...
Because grief can often cause children to feel isolated and different from their friends, peer support in itself helps children in the grieving process.
It can be a challenge for parents and caregivers to know what to do, what to say, and how to help children who are grieving. Here are some resources that can help.
Throughout the year, Erin's House hosts multiple events to raise awareness and funds in order to keep our services at no cost to families.
Zane | "I like being accepted at Erin's House and not having to explain my emotions of missing my dad or grief."
Esmerelda | "One thing I hope the kids in my group take away from Erin's House and learn throughout their grief journey is they are not alone."
Mo | "Every time I set foot inside the Volcano Room, I see joy. These kids are able to enjoy themselves and let out a ton of energy and be a kid for the time we are in there."
Brady | "At Erin's House, we're learning to love one another!"
Evelyn | "I'm happy meeting new friends that are like me."
